Snowed In

This past week we were lucky enough to get snowed in. 
To us it meant Daddy got to stay home, lots snowball fights, snow angels, sledding
and of course hot chocolate!  McKay’s favorite activity was sledding.
(The hot chocolate is in a close second.) 

We were lucky enough to find a private little hill to sled down. 
It was the perfect size for McKay and there were no crowds to fight.
McKay warmed up with a few snow angels. And then we were off!

McKay was wiping out all over the place
and a few times I was worried that we would get hurt,
 but each time he popped up laughing.

Toward the end of our afternoon,

McKay began chowing down on the snow. 

Each time he would take a step up the hill he would pick up

a fresh handful of snow and take a few bites. 

By the time we got home for a late lunch he was full of snow.

Luckily, he was able to eat because the hot chocolate melted all the snow.

Before we headed home, we ended the afternoon with

some penguin style sledding.  Adam followed McKay, on his belly,

as McKay slid down the hill with his sled for the last time.
McKay saw him and just had to try it!
