This past weekend we finally went to the Tulip Festival. I say finally because I have wanted to go to the Tulip festival since my parents moved to Washington eight years ago. We never made it before this year because school let out too late and the blooms would be gone. We decided to make a day out of it and we started off in LaConner.

LaConner is a cute town located on the delta near the mouth of the Skagit River. When Adam told his co-workers that we were heading up there one of them suggested we check out a bakery, Calico Cupboard Old Town Café, while in town. And if you know our family, then you know we love food. So, the first thing we did was hit up the bakery. Which was delicious, but nothing can beat our favorite bakery in Poulsbo.
After hitting up the bakery we walked around town, had lunch, and took some pictures on the waterfront. I love this picture of my parent below. Look closely at the sign in the background. My mom was trying to get a picture of Adam, McKay and I and she wanted us to get in front of the sign, thinking it was a street name or something. We pointed out to her that it wasn’t a sign you would want in the background. She couldn’t stop laughing and of course she had to have their picture taken in front of the sign.
Then we headed off to Deception Pass.

Wonderful pictures, Brie. Keith and I had dinner in Laconner when we visited Mt. Vernon years ago. Beautiful place.
