On Tuesday we took a short road trip to Monroe to visit friends and celebrate a 1st birthday. Looking at the number of pictures you would think that it was my own baby’s first birthday, but I couldn’t help but take tons of pictures of Abby while she enjoyed her cake. She loved her cake and the faces she was making were too cute to pass up.
Sarah made the cutest cupcakes for the three big kids to enjoy. The cupcakes themselves were rainbow and the wrappers and toppers were spring themed. Sarah is an amazing paper crafter. I’m going to have her make all my cupcake toppers from now on. If I ever start a little cupcake company she’ll be my go to girl.
McKay and Ella really enjoyed their cupcakes. I love the two different approaches the kids have for eating cupcakes. Ella chows down and eats her cupcake like most people, while McKay keeps the wrapper on and just licks off all the frosting. Either way you eat the cupcake, it was delicious.
After their sugar rush the kids finished off the celebration playing with blocks. All three of these kids play so well together, it’s so nice. Maria, Sarah and I spend the morning in the kitchen catching up and cooking, while the kids are off playing somewhere in the house. I love that I get my own play date. Thanks girls for the fun morning.
